The Shops at Columbus Circle: Columbus Avenue & Central Park West.  Upscale mall and restaurants.
Bloomingdale’s: 60th Street between 3rd & Lexington.  Visit the Customer Relations counter for discounts.
Barney’s Department Store:  Madison Avenue between 60-61st.
Uniqlo: 5th Avenue & 51st Street – Japanese clothing – US flagship store.  High quality basics, affordable.
Sak’s Fifth Avenue: across from Rockefeller Center on 5th Ave.
Macy’s: 34th St and Broadway.  Visit the Customer Relations counter for discounts.
The Market NYC:  Mulberry & Prince St in Nolita.  Market where young designers to show off unique designs for clothing & accessories.  Sat/Sun 11-7.
Prince & Spring Sts:  During the warmer months, up & coming designers set up side walk tables.

Stella McCartney:  W 14th & Greene St in W. Village. 
Century 21 Store: huge designer discount store.  Near World Trade Center on Cortland btwn Church & Broadway.  Open 7:45 am weekdays to 9, 10 am Sat, 11 am on Sunday.
Daffy's:  designer discount store (similar to TJMaxx) located throughout city.  E 57th btwn Park & Lexington; Madison & 44th St; W 44th St btwn 7 & 8th; W 34th St & Broadway; Broadway & Grand St.  Wall Street.  


Diamond District: 47th St between Ave of Americas & 5th.  Wander in the hallways to look at booths rather than the larger stores.  Don’t be afraid to bargain and you get better deals if you pay cash (use as a bargaining tool). Always get a receipt.  I’ve bought at J Serra (33 W 47th #3) and Majewel (578 5th Ave).


Flea Markets:
Hell's Kitchen Flea Market:  W 39th St & Dyer Ave.  Sat & Sun only.  Vintage treasures, clothing.  

Flower District:  26-29th St along 6th Ave.


Food Shopping:
Zabar’s Deli: 2245 Broadway (at 80th St)  Unique grocery/deli. 212-787-2000  www.zabars.com  S: 1 to 79th & Broadway
Grand Central Market:  Located in Grand Central Terminal.  East side of Main Floor.  Cheese, fish, meats, breads, meals-to-go.
Eataly:  5th Avenue & 23rd Street.  Open everyday.  Mario Batali & Lidia Bastianich bring Italian markets, restaurants, etc.
Buon Italia:  Ninth Avenue (btwn 15-16th St) in Chelsea.  Specialities from all regions of Italy.  Stop in to buy a picnic lunch or snacks for walking the High Line.  8 am - 9 pm M-Sat, 9 am - 7 pm Sun.  
Chelsea Market: Full city block between West 15th/16th Street and 9 & 10th Ave.  Food shops, restaurants, tastings and food tours.  7 am – 9 pm M- Sat, 8 am – 7 pm Sun.  Subway A,C,E  L
DiPalo’s Fine Foods: Little Italy gourmet market.  200 Grand St (Mulberry & Mott Strs)



Garment District: Between 6th & 8th  Avenues from 25th to 40th Streets. Outlets usually cash only.  Besides clothes, you'll find buttons, zippers, fabrics, beads, etc.
Blue Sky Jewelry:  W 28th btwn 6th(Ave of Americas) and Broadway.  


Home Furnishings:  
Gracious Home:  Broadway & W 68th St.  Cookware, appliances, linens, 
A & D Building:  E 58th St & Lexington.  Over 200,000 sq ft of furniture.
ABC Carpet & Home:  Broadway & E 19th St in Flatiron District.. Housewares, lighting, linens & a fabulous restaurant.
Global Table:  Sullivan & Spring Sts in SOHO.  Tableware.


Perfume District:
  Broadway from W 20's-30's.
