Serendipity3

I enjoyed my first Frozen Hot Chocolate from Serendipity3 with Mary Crawford. A delicious treat that we walked off on the Upper East Side shopping. We both had Chicken Pot pies for lunch and found them quite tasty without being heavy.   Serendipity3 is located on E 60th Street between 2nd & 3rd Avenues.

Fleet Week

Every year the City of New York hosts Fleet Week.  This year thousands of Marines, Sailors and Coast Guardsmen will sail in May 23 -30 2012 to celebrate the Bicentennial of The War of 1812.  They will join nine Tall Ships including the 370 foot Juan Sebastian Elcano built in 1927 which now serves as a Naval training vessel for the Spanish Navy.  The Navy's Blue Angels will also be giving air demonstrations.  Boats are available for touring and exhibitions are scheduled each day.  For more information see:  http://www.fleetweeknewyork.com/index.html
